This is the place where the papers, sketch books, pens, colour pens, markers, paints and brushes lie waiting for me.
Every artwork on RevArtTales begins with a few simple tools, curiosity, and time. These are what I use for my art. This is not a page with my recommendations. Not “best supplies.” But a reminder to myself of things I use. I come back to this place to reorder whenever I run out of supplies. Sketchbooks
This is my most used Sketchbook. I find this easy to work on even though I use more of Acrylic colours than watercolour. The size fits my choice.
This cloth canvas pad is primed. I used it for my first acrylic painting. With no experience, I could easily handle the canvas sheets. Convenient square size.
Pens
Uniball Pin Fineliner Drawing pen. This is my first choice. Be it a sketch or outline drawing, these pens don’t bleed, don’t smudge with the colours we draw inside the outlines. I found them not fade over time too.
Micron pens are very popular among artists, so with me. Very good archival ink. But these pens rank below the Uniball balls for me.
Papers and Drawing sheets
Dark red cardstock papers. A little darker than ‘dark red.’ The paper is hard enough for drawing on it. And very smooth to work on. Just take care not to touch the wet paint until dries up completely.
