I am Revathi, an independent art & music journalist.
By day, I write & edit articles and train teenagers to be student journqalists. By evening, paper and pencils take over. Then brushes and colours joined in and the writer’s desk becomes an artist’s desk.
My love for Indian folk arts pulls me towards nature, Gods and goddesses, in Mithila / Madhubani, Phad, Pattachitra, Gond, Bhil, Kalamkari… I am not an art instructor. I am not here to teach any artform. I am here to share the story of all that I draw and paint.
Inspired by many artist freinds at @artisticfolklore, an Instagram community of wonderful artists, RevArtTales is my field notebook from the desk. If my art stories make you pick up a drawing pen too, I am happy.
